Shockwave for Bone & Joint Pain
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing in the body. It has been used for many years to treat a variety of orthopedic problems including tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, back, neck, and knee pain.
The acoustic therapy works by increasing blood and lymphatic flow to the affected area, which in many cases can reduce pain and inflammation. It is relatively painless, requires no anesthesia, there is minimal to no downtime after treatments. Depending on the area, some report mild soreness after a treatment.
Recommended therapy is once weekly every two weeks up to 8 weeks with results noted after 1 month.
