Cellulite occurs predominantly in women due to increased fat storage and appears as dimpling or rippling skin contour on the abdomen, buttocks, thighs or upper arms. Genetics, pregnancy, weight gain can all lead to cellulite, which causes many mental distress. Luckily, at Divine Medical Spa we have several modalities for treating cellulite including our newest, Shockwave Therapy. ‘Shockwave’ is unique by creating an acoustic vibration throughout the tissue in a painless, no downtime treatment session, creating microcellular damage to the fatty and connective tissues promoting elastin and collagen remodeling, improving looseness of the skin as well. Once weekly sessions for 4 weeks is recommended and each treatment is approximately 15 minutes per area.
